SO… I am finally an RN!!!! Yay!! After 4 years of school I passed my boards! I received the minimum number of questions (75)!! Waiting to see if I passed my tests was the longest two days of my life!! I am so happy to be done and graduated! Graduation was so much fun with all of my family and friends around!!
My mom and dad threw me a party and it was amazing to see everyone. It is so fun to catch up with everyone that you don’t get to see as often as you would like!
I already miss all my friends from school, now that we are all grown up we have real jobs and have a lot of scheduling conflicts!!
I started working at a transitional rehab center in Riverton! I have met some amazing ladies I work with and we will be friends for a long time! The patients are also very fun! Each patient teaches me something every day, no matter how big or how small and issue is; I am learning a lot. I am still looking for jobs in a hospital and I hope to find one..someday!!
I have applied for 98 jobs in hospitals throughout the valley and the numbers are rising! I know if they would just give me a chance I could prove myself and be an amazing nurse!! Every time I get a rejection letter stating “after careful consideration we have picked another candidate.” My heart breaks a little no matter how much I tell myself I won’t get the job. I have always wanted to get into the NICU, haven’t gotten there yet, I have one more chance to get into a residency program before I no longer qualify! I will just keeping trying and work my way up. J
